This an example to illustrate a completed Stent using the Metric Stent Blank model available in this group. Roll back the Feature Manager to see how the Stent is generated. The OD, Wall & Length are set in the first feature, "Stent OD- Base-Extrude-Thin". Note that knitting the split in the stent takes some creativity, but will allow FEA Analysis. The stent is in the "as-cut" state. See also Metric Stent Blank model. The earlier version I uploaded, downloads as a "Dumb" IGES type part. Try this one.

This is a blank used to create 3D Stent Models. The model uses the SW Sheetmetal feature to "roll and un-roll the stent" The OD, Wall & Length are set in the first feature, "Stent OD- Base-Extrude-Thin". In the "un-rolled" state the Stent flat pattern geometry can be accurately laid-out and cut thru the flattened Stent. When the Stent is "rolled" it takes on the "as-cut" 3D geometry of the Stent. A finished example is available in the Coronary-Stent model also available in this group. Note in the Coronary-Stent example that knitting the split in the stent takes some creativity, but will allow FEA Analysis.
